We live in a era where innovative products get replaced by new ones in just a few weeks. In order to adjust to this rapid flow of time, there is a need to provide electronic parts like a "junction", where high-standard items required by the technicians can be obtained by the most reasonable route.
In other words, our concept as Ohtori is to be an "E-Junction"; a flexible junction for the latest electronic items.

Okamoto Electronics wishes to be a company that contribute to Super Smart Society (Society 5.0) not only by providing crucial electronic components to Super Smart Society (Society 5.0) but also by providing high-quality unit products, networks, cloud and services to the customer by strengthening our technical capabilities.
This is why, We have put forward "Take one step together and transform for realizing the super smart society" as the concept of our mid-term management plan starting in 2022. As Okamoto Electronics, we will aim to use our firm technical capabilities and high quality, to become a company that thinks about the future together with our customers.
What is "Society5.0"?
"A human-centered society that balances economic advancement and the resolution of social problems by a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space."— Society 5.0 was proposed in the 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan as a future society that Japan should aspire to.
IoT (Internet of Things) will connect all the people and things. And with more shared information and knowledge, it will be able to create new values that can solve issues and challenges which did not exist before.
Social reform (innovation) in Society 5.0 will achieve a forward-looking society that breaks down the existing sense of stagnation, a society whose members have mutual respect for each other, transcending the generations, and a society in which each and every person can lead an active and enjoyable life.
Concept of Ohtori
In this rapid flow of time, the field of electronics has become severely competitive. It is not rare to see a product once regarded as innovative gets replaced by a new product in just a few weeks. It became almost impossible to supply components with the conventional logistic system so as to meet highly complicated requests by engineers who are forerunners of innovation. Just like a road has a highway, logistics of electronic components also need a special highway that can deliver products more efficiently. In addition, in order to promptly deal with the complex and diversified orders with accuracy, it is no doubt that a "junction-like" system such as a junction on highways is necessary where different products could reach the destinations through more efficient route choices. In such times, Okamoto Electronics has been working to establish a generalized service system which realizes a close connection between the flow of information known as "needs" and the flow of things known as "delivery", challenging the conventional way of specialized trading.
